Giant panda (大熊猫)

In the mountains and valleys of the eastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the western Sichuan Basin lives the world famous, rare animal---the Giant Panda. The wild Giant Panda exclusively habitat in China.

Giant Panda is known worldwide as a rare treasure, a symbol of auspiciousness , friendship and a messenger of peace. It has become the national treasure of China. It is reputed as the “living fossil” of fauna in the world. As early as 1961, the World Wildlife Fund was set up with the Giant Panda as the emblem on its badge and banner.
SO rare is the giant panda that today there are thought to be only about 1,100 individuals in the entire world. It is listed as an endangered species and has been seen in the wild only in the mountains of China.
The giant panda is about 1.2 to 1.5 m long from the tip of its nose to its rump, and it has a stubby tail. Adults weigh about 75 to 160 km. They have a thick, woolly, white coat with black fur
