at 和 in 的区别

I study at Yu Cai primary school.
Jim's father teaches English in a primary school.
上面两个句中的介词为什么一个用at，一个用in？
拜托别说教条的东西，这两个句子中都是一所小学，何来大地方和小地方？
终于有三楼的朋友针对我的提问了，可是你咋不说明白呢？

study 后只能跟at

介词的时间用法：

时间点用 at - at 5 o'clock, at noon

时间段用 in - in 1997, in the afternoon, in the weekend

in是说明大的地方.
at说明的是小的地方.
