因为believe是一个延续性动词，而not ...until的一般用法是：not+短暂性动词＋until＋从句。故不用until.
如果用not ...until那就表示“我不会一直相信我能做成这件事，直到我名列前茅。”意思不通。因为believe是延续性动词表示一种状态而不是一种动作。要表示动作用begin to believe.
类似的动词还有know---begin to know
understand---begin to understand 等等。
