这个句子，读起来有点别扭。

我觉得正确说法应该是： He is kicked out of the city, (flees) to an island, and finally (gets) back to the home city.

应该是 flees, 和 finally gets back.

原因：因为 he（名词）是单数的，所以后面的动词都要加个 ‘s’

还有，在句子里不用 ‘then flees’，应该直接用 flees～
因为在这种句子里，then 一般都是和 First/After 用在一块儿的.

比如：
“He first did this, then did that.”
“After doing this, he then did that.”

这个句子的前面没有 first，也没有 after，所以没有必要加个 then
加了 then 句子反而就不对了。

应该是这么说：

He was kicked out of the city, then fled to an island, and finally got back to the home city.
他被赶出了城市，然后逃到了一个岛上，最终回到了他家乡城市。

所有都应该是过去式，包括被动语态。
