【英语】这句话对么？？？？

这句话语法正确么？
我从一个文章中摘抄的，
如果对，那为什么前面用 " a person grows "
后面又用 "fit their"
不矛盾么？？？
如果 a person 是主语
怎么能用 their？？？
而且 a person 后面用grows
肯定是单数呀

首先应该是damaging，其次应该是can no longe fit his clothes

这句话语法正确。
签名when后的a person 是这个when这个从句的主语，也是后面fit their clothes的主语，意思是一个人长的快，那么这个人的衣服也不合身了。

因为有情态动词can，所以要用动词原型fit
