contain 和 include有什么区别？

contain着重“其中确实包含有”， 如：The bottle contains water. 这个瓶子里有水。
习惯用语
be contained between 含于...间， (夹)在...之间〔中〕
be contained within 含于...间， (夹)在...之间〔中〕
contain oneself 自制

include强调“包括作为整体的一部分”, 如:
The list included his name.
这个名单上包括他的名字。

作为我的经验，一般辨析词义与其听别人用汉语解释到不如自己看英文解释体会来得快，来的清晰，来得准确

include: have sb/sth as part of a whole
contain: have or hold sth within itself

这样看来，include主要强调被包含的东西本身是其一部分，而contain则强调包含不属于本身的其他东西在里面。
