how to improve my english properly?

we have been learning english since elementray school,but we still cant speak it properly as an english native.many native speaker always say you dont speak proper english, for instance,we might call the drink fountain in another word that water machine. i wanna know how to improve my vebal english properly as a native even in domestic?

Speaking good English isn t difficult if you are ready to spend time on it and have more patience.
