"My eyes are green, Mommy," my three-year-old daughter, Maddison, tells me, making the sign for "green" with her small fingers, as we lie in her bed. "Very good, honey! You're getting really good at your signs. I'm so proud of you! What color are Mommy's eyes?" Maddison stares intently into my eyes, a puzzled look on her face. "Um, your eyes are red," she says, twisting her fingers around each other and dragging them down her lips, the sign for "red."
Maddison 可能不会说话，用的手语。
