pursuit查字典是“寻找”，怎么会是名词？看了篇阅读后面加FROM,介词能加在名词后么？

Pursuit的意思是追击。是名词。名词后能跟介词，一般作定语。
eg:What is the meaning of what you said.

你得看那句话里面的动词是什么啊
如果说名词后面加介词很正常啊
have differences from
这就是名词后面跟介词
the way of
这也是
a friend of mine
这也是

这里的pursuit 是名词
record是动词
记录下来自……的研究

为什么不呢?
I want the book on the desk.
from可能和后面的词语构成地点状语,或是定语....和pursuit的用法无关
