too risky a trip to make 明显是too risky to make a trip的倒装。这里为什么要倒装，语法上怎么解释？能否再举些例子？

这个句子不是倒装,只是强调的东西不一样,句中的强调的是trip risky 而你写的是强调这个动作risky

应该是的。

其实倒装主要是指出强调或者使得句子更加顺口美观而已。一般的口语当中比较少用到的。

我觉得这里应该是at
表示对某人做某中行为,也就是be itching to go and pushing back
而最后只是强调,表明所指人的立场,那些人觉得这实在是一步险棋.

楼上的瞎说，这根本不是倒装，这是强调好不好。
强调的是 too risky a trip，强调的是冒险。
比如说，是他打了我耳光
It is him who snapped me!
强调him
