knock at = knock on,所以这里的介词没有问题. he is 改成 it is,是英语的习惯表达,同样的还有接电话的时候说" this is Jane call", 而不说" I am Jane calling".

其中that是可以可以省略的,因为这里the difficulties做had的宾语.句子把his difficulty 改成 the difficulties 就可以了，个人倾向改成复数,可以查英英字典体会一下单复数的区别.

3. Most people prefer peace to war.

4. 把回答改成"yes, you can." 这里的could 是委婉的用法,不是过去时,所以回答还是用can. your本身没有错误,如果客人到主人家做客,需要用洗手间,会说"your bathroom"并不一定是"the bathroom".

1. go and see who it is. 有人敲门，不知是男是女，这种情况下在英语中用it。
2. 去掉he had. his difficulty 已经表示它的困难。he had 纯属多余。
3. most people prefer peace to war. most 可用作the most of， 也可在其后直接加宾语，就是没有题目这种用法
