I was engaged in stock business and perfromed as a volunteer during the past two years.

看了其它大虾的回答，个人认为这道题前后都表示从事过该两项工作，因为楼主用了"and"这个连接词，可以理解为前后想表达的动词意思都一致的，呵呵，昨天粗心了没看仔细，故修改了愚见如下：

1). 从事过什么行业用"be engaged"，"be employed" 或"be hired"等表示都可以，而本人偏好选engage译作"从事.....行业", 而充当过...角色用"perfome as...", 或者选用"act as..."也可。

2). 表示了在两年持续的时间，用during the past two years 比over the past two years 和 in the past two years较贴切。

以上个人之愚见不知与楼主所要表达的是否一致？ 其它大虾有其高招，也请不吝赐教!
