At 20:30 this evening, the guest in Room 1602 phoned the Front Desk to complain about the fact that he/she couldn't open his/her door because of the malfunction of the room key. The Front Desk staff reminded the guest not to put the room key with his/her cell phone. But the guest was very angry since he/she just had the key changed yesterday. GRM had a new key sent up to the 16th floor as soon as he/she/they got the call, apologized for the inconvenience and promised to send up a fruit basket. But when GRM sent up the fruit basket later on, the guest refused to accept it and expressed his/her hope that such incidents would not reoccur. Even before this incident, there were lots of guests at the Front Desk every day, asking for new room keys and expressing their dissatisfaction with the product.
