形容词为什么在名词后面＞＞＞？？？

这是过去分词作后置定语的用法，修饰前面的名词。其作用相当于一个定语从句。
The materials (which are) used must ....
这种用法使句子显得简单明了。

例：
There are a lot of problems unsolved.
=There are a lot of problems that are unsolved.

The one dressed in red is my brother.
=The one (who is ) dressed in red is my brother.
