Due to my lack of care, your comments to the CEO had been removed and were never going to be read by _____. I’m deeply sorry for what I have done. I shouldn’t have given the document to the assistant of the marketing department, and made the assumption that she will return the document back to me as it was.

From this incident I learned that all messages between PO and other employees should only be read by the designated person, and no other third party may get a hold of the message. I also learned that when someone asks me to do something that has a conflict in interest from the directions given from PO and other supervisor; I should always report to the PO and/or supervisor immediately and ask for advice. Finally, I learned that when I give someone a document that needs to be returned to me, I need to make sure that they will be returned as it is.
