随着国际贸易竞争日渐激烈，商务活动日益频繁，商务函电使用日益频繁，因而商务英语的翻译也随之显现其重要作用。本文从商务英语函电的词汇、句法、语篇来谈其文体特征，以实例说明翻译中的得失，为商务英语函电翻译提出建议，目的是搞好商务函电英语翻译，促进经济发展。
一。商务英语函电的语体特征
1.词汇特征
(1)选词简明得体、表达清晰
书写商务信函，草拟商务文件时，选词上除正确得体外，还应简明；措词上力求简洁，
因为商场如战场。因而商务英语这一社会文化群体达成共识：商务语言必须言简意明，避免嗦。

2.句法特征
