英语高手请进，as+形容词+as+代词

为什么不能说Saif knew that the other applicants weren't as good as him. 而要说Saif knew that the other applicants weren't as good as he (was).

但我怎么觉得I am as tall as him读起来很通呢？ 这个句型到底有没有错误呢？

PS：第一句中的"weren't as good as"对吗？是否应该改为“weren't so good as”？

as good as he was, 是对的。
weren't so good as, 也对。
as good as...是比较，前后应一致。

applicants were good,
he was also good. 所以，是as good as he was.

句子平衡要！！

应该用so 因为是否定句
不过你说的更乱我觉得

I am as tall as him没有错，意思是我和他一样高
as...as...表示和什么什么一样
