for能用在过去进行时中吗？

look for是固定搭配 可以用在任何时态
另外for是介词，使用时没有时态的限制

如果你用FOR 用与做时间的话，不可以做过去时态的，正如你说的for用于一段时间的。一般都是现在完成时。
