The bad weather made them give up the trip.
要是by的后面不是人。
那么改被动以后是省略了它还是by the weather?
请大家帮忙解释一下,谢谢你们

应该是by the weather.
一般要省略的话，都是因为没有必要，或是不想交代
但这是由于天气的缘故，他们才放弃的
所以个人认为不应该省略。

They were made to give up the trip by the weather。
省略什么?
如果不强调天气的原因的话可以把by the weather省去。

哪有by啊？
