country, nation, state
三者都可译为“国家”，但含义不同。
country 指国家时，侧重疆土或人口， 又作“乡下”讲。如：
China is a socialist country.
中国是一个社会主义国家。
nation指国家时，侧重民族。如：
The whole nation is /are rejoicing.
举国欢腾。
state 指国家时，侧重政体、政府，也可指组成国家的“州”。如：
France is one of the member states of the ELL.
法国是欧洲联盟成员国之一。

Nation是国际的意思，country是国家的意思,state是州的意思：例如纽约州。
