财务管理作为企业管理的组成部分，与经济价值或财富的保值增值有关，是关于创造财富的决策，企业生存、发展、获利的总目标离不开财务的筹资、投资以及对资金的运用管理。另一方面，财务管理目标是制定生产目标、销售目标等一系列目标的基础和前提，这使得财务管理在企业管理中处于一个核心地位，财务管理目标将从根本上反映企业的总目标。所以确立一个合理的财务管理目标对企业的长远发展有重要的意义。
本次的毕业设计—小型企业财务管理系统，正是为了能够高效、有序的管理企业财务而设计的。该管理系统以Visual C++ .NET 2003技术为框架，以SQL Server2000为后台数据库，利用软件工程原理，采用面向对象编程方法。系统主要功能包括基础数据管理、凭证管理、帐簿管理、结帐及报表等。其功能实现的流程是用户首先将科目及帐户的初始设置输入到系统，然后可根据系统中的科目来进行凭证管理及查询，并可对凭证进行过帐，计算本期汇总帐簿和明细帐簿。在帐簿管理中可通过总分类帐和明细帐进行帐簿查询。最后可以对财务进行试算平衡，看到当前帐目的平衡信息，试算结果平衡后可进行期末结帐，结帐后可以查询当月的资产负债表，并可打印该表。系统的开发主要包括后台数据库的建立和维护，以及前端应用程序的开发两个方面，实现了企业财务集中管理、智能操作，使传统的人工化会计管理向智能化、科学化、数字化、综合化发展，真正将企业财务管理带入电算化会计时代。
本文最后总结了本次设计中遇到的问题及对未来的展望，并且提出了本系统的发展前景。
