why does China not declare English as second language of China?

Mybe after 50 years ,English will be the second language of China.

既然英语这么重要
那为什么中国不把英语公告为中国的第二种语言呢？

Since English is so important,why does China do not declare
it as its second language?

Because we havenot learn Chinese well.
and English is also very important in our country ,there`s no need to let it be our second lauguage .

it' a matter of culture and accecptable. since china hasn't been using english for a very long time, you must know that not all people accecpt english. some traditional chinese people think english is an insult to china, as a matter of fact they don't understand it and they don't need it. the government is trying to keep it's people happy, so they are in controll.
it's just my opinion, no offense or anything.
