“Congratulations, Mr. Jones, it’s a girl.”
Fatherhood is going to have a different meaning and bring forth a different response from every man who hears these words. Some feel pride when they receive the news, while others worry, wondering whether they will be good father. Although there are some men who like children and may have had considerable experience with them, others do not particularly care for children and spend little time with them. D is ok, but if u read the passage carefully, it doesn't mention "social programs " at all. what it says is "numerous books have been written about American mothers", therefore D would be correct if changed to "complains about the lack of relative books to help husbands adjust themselves to being a father ".

This can be considered as lack of responsibility.

Thus, A should be best the answer. But i'd like to give u half marks for D.

Hope thats help
