person和man都做“人”讲时，它们有什麽不同？

Help arrived in the person of his father.
前来帮忙的是他的父亲。
The firm has an important asset in the person of the director of research.
公司有一巨大财富，就是研究部主任这个人。
You are just the person I want to see.
你正是我要见的人。

If you want a good music teacher, he's your man.
你们要是缺个好的音乐教师，他就是最理想的人选。
The staff speak as one man on this issue.
在这个问题上全体职员意见一致。
He's his own man, but he doesn't ignore advice.
他虽然自有主张，但并不轻视别人的意见。

person是指人的一个一个“个体”，一个人就是a person.

man和human指人的“整体”，human比man更正式一点，因为它有“人类”的意思。

另外，man还有“男人”的意思，既指整体也指个体。

man 指男性

person 不分性别

person :人 强调个体 其复数有两个 persons(强调个体）和people (强调整体)
同时 people 又作为一个单数存在，意思是 民族 复数 peoples.
man: 男人,复数 men； M大写 Man=men 人类 （表示人类的时候，用的越来越 少了，因为这样有性别歧视的味道，就像原来的chairman 也很少用了，而用chairperson 来表达。）
其实在西方国家，他们更倾向于用individual 这个词语来表示 个人，正如他们更赞同individualism （个人主义）一样。
