我个人认为是，another,因为是我感觉应该是把那两只笔当成了一个整体。但是这样的话那two of them后面就应该是is而不是are了，不知道我理解的正确不正确？到底应该是怎么样？

此处不是泛指,所以不能用 another
你想的把twoof them看作整体，剩下的就是 the other了．
至于后面为啥不跟is，呵呵，那样违反了基本语法规则拉
