新概念2级L57的1.6中，有这样一句话：The woman walked out of the shop angrily and decided to punish the assistant next day.
请问这里的第二天为什么不用the next day？这里不是过去发生的事情吗，为什么不加the？

next前面不用定冠词，这是固定用法decided就已经表示是过去时了。

punish the assistant 动作是在过去的将来发生的啊！！

在next day里，固定用法一般不用加定冠词“the”。
