英语:else和other用法有什么不同?

other可作形容词或代词，做形容词时，意思是“别的，其他”，泛指“其他的（人或物）”。

else 只修饰两类词
修饰 不定代词 如 someone / someplace/ anything来指代另外一个，而不特别指明哪一个。
如： I had nothing else to do.
修饰 wh- word。如what /who/where等
如: What else do I need to do
else多用于特殊疑问词后。
other主要修饰名词，放在名词前面。

词性没差别,都是形容词

区别在于,else常接于疑问代词或不定代词之后
other一般在之前.

常用 anything/something/nothing/who/what + else 表示名词意义.比方说:

what else do you want?

other就是普通的形容词用法,表示"其他的"

other及其变化形式在初中教材中多次出现，而且它的变化形式很多，有以下几种：the other, others, the others, another 等。它们的用法现归纳如下；
