HSBC Holdings Plc, Citigroup Inc. and other foreign banks in China boosted their profit in the first nine months
by 112.7 percent, the nation's banking regulator said. Foreign banks earned a combined 10.1 billion yuan ($1.5
billion) in the period ended Sept. 30, the China Banking Regulatory Commission said in a statement. They
expanded loans by 25.4 percent in the period to 786.5 billion yuan, with a non-performing loan ratio of 0.5
