Dead centre：
A centre that does not rotate; commonly found on the tailstock of a lathe.

Half male centre：
A dead center that has a portion of the 60 degree cone cut away.

在机加工时，若要两端固定，工件非卡盘一端要加工一个60度锥形坑（Half male centre），以便使用顶针座固定另一端。
