新疆写意人物画画家充分利用了新疆特有少数民族方面题材优势，与内地写意人物画形成了一种差异美。新疆写意人物画重在以写实手法来表现新疆少数民族人物特色，在写实性和艺术性上都取得了一定成果，可是地域的局限和艺术观念的局限依然会体现在新疆的写意人物画画面上，新疆写意人物画和内地写意人物画还存在着一定差距，在创作题材的选取，绘画语言和创作观念等方面都有别于内地写意人物画，为了新疆写意人物画更好的发展，新疆写意人物画应当在已有的基础上对题材、观念等方面加以创新。
本论文以新疆写意人物画基本面貌为问题源起，结合新疆当代著名画家作品与内地画家写意人物画相比较，探索新疆现实生活和本土文化对新疆写意人物画的影响及其问题。
