Abstract: With the establishment and development of China's market economy, there is an increasing prosperity of journalism and a new development of the freedom of the press under the new conditions. This paper will focus on the analysis of the development of the freeedom of the press under the market economy and further clarify the relative freedom of the present press as well as the abuse of freedom of the press caused by the transition while proposing the response measures.
