求解一道GRE数学题

Tom sold two house of $80,000 each,one house was sold at a 20 percent loss and the other at a 20 percent gain.
A:the gain minus the loss B:0

两个房子都以八万美金卖出~
这题就在算原价或者是说算每个房子的盈亏额
第一个80，000亏了20%即原价应该是80000÷0.8=100，000就是说loss为20，000美元
第二个赚了20%就是说原价应该是80000÷1.2≈66，667就是说gain为13，333美元
这样gain-loss=13333-20000=-6667是个负数
这样就是说A＜B

设第一个房子的本应卖价是x,第二个房子的本应卖价是y
根据题目列方程
x-0.2x=80000 x=100000
y+0.2y=80000 y=80000/1.2
所以the gain是0.2y=80000/6而the loss则是0.2x=80000/4因此the gain小于the loss所以最后的答案是A<B
