Betty works as a festival graphic design artist for the Adelaide Fringe Festival. She is in charge of designing and constructing the "Garden of Unearthly Delights" an open air Fringe Festival venue. As part of her contract there is a clause which states " its a condition of employment that upon cessation of employment the employee will not work for another festival company or associated association within Australia for a duration of 6 months." Betty's contract runs for the 2 months before the Fringe begins, and ends at the end of the festival, a total of 8 weeks. All artwork is owned by the Adelaide Fringe Festival corporation. Two weeks after the end of the Fringe the Melbourne Comedy Festival Corporation contacts Betty, they saw her artwork at the Fringe and are keen to have her work on their new alternative circus pavilion.
Betty advise: this would be a great career move.
