摘要

宽带IP城域网是采用TCP/IP协议互联起来的，以电信网的可管理性、可扩充性为基础，在城市的范围内汇聚宽、窄带用户的接入，面向满足集团用户(政府、企业等)个人用户对各种宽带多媒体业务(互联网访问、虚拟专网等)需求的综合宽带网。
本文结合作者从事相关工作的经验和体会，依照科学的网络分层理论，对营口铁通宽带IP城域网进行规划和设计，使其成为一个性能优良的、可运营可管理的、可盈利可扩展的安全的可持续发展的宽带IP城域网。
本文论述了宽带IP城域网的基本理论知识，包括宽带IP城域网的基本概念，宽带IP城域网的体系结构，宽带IP城域网组网的主要技术的基本原理以及技术本身的优缺点，宽带IP城域网组网的主要接入技术及其适用的范围等，宽带IP城域网的总体要求，宽带IP城域网网络规划设计的原则和技术要求。
本文简要研究了宽带网的层次性结构：骨干层、汇聚层、接入层。营口宽带IP城域数据网建设涉及的主要技术包括：用户接入技术、IP传输技术、IP路由技术及IP地址分配与管理等。
