在这里，in a highly successful play 我认为是一个状语，修饰was cast的
而不是一个定语修饰actor，因为这个演员不可能只在这个successful play中才famous,所以我觉得她不是定语，问题是如果是一个状语的话，为什么不放在最后，而要放在主语actor之后
