(1) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Roman 6:23)

There is no "s" for the word of sin.

(2) Paul clearly indicated that the consequences of sin is death. This is the reason for God to send His son Jesus to save us from sin so that we will not fear death and more importantly we will get God's eternal life. This is one of the most basic teaching of the bible.

(3) This passage said that we will have spiritual death when we sin. In fact, when we were born, we already have the DNA of sin in our spirit because of the sin of Adam from the beginning of human history. The meaning of spiritual death is that we no longer able to connect with God our creator.
