Systematic Nomenclature for the Second Generation Fused-heterospiro Dendrimer Compounds via an Ylene Substitution Route

Abstract Systematic nomenclature for the second generation fused-heterospiro dendrimer compounds has been successfully performed via an ylene substitution to simplify the first generation spiro structure，which was too complex to carry out if such complicated compounds were considered multispiro derivatives and named according to the IUPAC systematic principles for spiro motifs. The first generation spiro atom was regarded as formed by a complete ketal condensation of the parent nucleus 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11, 12-dodecahydrotriphenylene-2,6,10-trione with 1,3-propylenediol, namely the three spiro atoms were produced by a triple substitution at 2,6,10-positions
