Well, I think your friend may not realize it and she might have forgot your birthday. A good way to approach is to remind her that your birthday is coming, and see if she would do anything for you. If she doesn't, then she may not be your good friend. I don't think you need to be upset for that because friendship are based on both sides. Whether you should give her a birthday present this year or not is totally depend on you. If you don't feel like it, then don't do it. But if you want to give her another present this year, please don't expect she will do the same in return.
