新课程改革促使班主任不断反思自身，转换自身角色。新课程理念下的班主任要尽到“演员”的职责，扮演好多种角色。在新课程改革下，作为班级的直接领导者，班主任需要扮演好新的一些角色。要成为班级制度的设计者，共同愿景开发者，班级文化的营造者，各方关系的协调者，学习方法的指引者。
