按道理说应该都是被动语态呀，可书上却把第二句encouraged算成表语了

实际上原句是这样的，我刚刚给简化了一下。
the aborginese were greatly encouraged by the new laws the government passed to protect their right.
他把encouraged划为分词作表语。
而第一句Australia is made up of six states and two territories.
又没有当成表语。

是啊，书本前后相矛盾的，还是教材哦~把我头都搞大了1

我现在的疑问是 是否把被动语态中的过去分词也纳入表语的范畴。但不管怎么说，这个书上的前后两个句子都是矛盾的。很明显两个都是被动语态的句子，一个把它当成表语，一个却当成了谓语。

我希望是可以把被动语态，或者现在进行时里的现在分词都当表语算了，真不知道怎么搞哦。现在的语法又还在强调区分被动语态和过去分词做表语。这样看来的话，那书上又怎么能把encouraged by那个句子的encouraged当表语呢？全国人民用了那么多年的新人教教材应该不会出错呀！却如此这样自相矛盾。

当encourage为动词鼓励、激励讲时，其被动语态为be encouraged

当encouraged作受到鼓舞的讲时，其为形容词，在be动词后用作系表结构，那么encouraged自然就是表语

但是我觉得，既然后面跟上by his words,那么此处应该不作形容讲，而作被动语态，所以我觉得书本应该搞错了

第一个句子是被动肯定没错了

全是被动语态 前面be动词后面跟完成时

但是！！！在一个句子中除了主语之外所剩下的部分全是表语！
被动语态和表语又不搭界！

总而言之 表语 和 被动语态 完全性不冲突！

多了解英文词汇的构成就会发现
很多动词+ed做形容词，暗含被动的意思
如果是+ing,就暗含了正在进行的意思，通常是来表示事物的状态
这其中的差别多体味一下就知道了
比如说i am interested in this interesting book
i am encouraged by his encouraging words.
