为什么第二个也不填 不是方位前都要加定冠词么

“east of the city ”作为“highway ”的定语。

加上the，词性不对，“the east of the city ”是名词，放在句中不合适。

第二个应该填 in the east of the city

省略了in the 这样简练

加上冠词the 就是一个名词了,而这不加the就是一个状语或定语,修饰highway
