7.4.1 Besides the update on the Proposed Acquisition provided by management under Matters Arising in item 3 above, Chairman/CEO informed the Board of the Group’s intention in the following undertakings, in terms of priority:
(a) Production of vaccines for hand foot and mouth decease – this would be undertaken by Mongolia Biwei Antai Biological Technology Co., Ltd, which was recently acquired by the Company through 60% equity acquisition. The construction of Biwei Antai’s manufacturing plant in Inner Mongolia to produce of vaccines for hand foot and mouth decease was currently on-going. Completion of construction is expected by end August 2009. It was highlighted that the acquisition of Biwei Antai is conditional upon obtaining the PRC’s regulator’s certification and production license before end of 2009.
(b) production of vaccines for Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (“PRRS”) – please refer to Matters Arising under item 3 above.
