大学是学习知识的场所，除了用好的（教育法）（teaching methodology）（传授知识）（impart knowledge），（学校的教育）（schooling）还能改善学生的（心理健康）（psychological soundness），给青少年们（youngsters）（灌输高尚的道德观）（instill high moral values），老师们还会（鼓励学生用辩证的眼光看问题）（encourage the students to think critically），这些知识在未来的工作中很难系统的学习。大学的学习也能（塑造一些学生的性格）（mould some student's character），让学生们学会在（逆境）（adverse circumstances）中（独立思考）（think independently）问题，培养（foster）学生的（团队精神）（team spirit）。
我建议，（把学生分开教育）（segregate students）。因为学生的水准不同，（学生对老师所教知识的掌握）（student's grasp of what has been taught）也不同。这样做的好处就是对不一样的学生都起着（全面发展的）（well-rounded）好处。而（学生的反馈）（student's feedback）和（学生评价老师的教学）（student appraise their teachers' performance）也不会因为学生的成绩好坏不一而出现偏差。
同样，我赞成将（艺术类）（arts）、理科（sciences）、工科（engineering）、文科（liberal studies）（分开教育）（segregate students），这样不一样类型的学生所学到的（理论知识）（theoretical knowledge）也不会发生冲突。这样才能培养出优秀的（通才）（generalist）和（专才）（specialist）。
