光波
光以波的形式传播，如同池塘里的涟漪。从一个波的起点到下一个波的起点之间的距离叫做波长。通常白光由许多不同波长的波组成，这些波也向各个方向传播。另一方面，激光是所有波都向一个方向传播的一种波，它们彼此聚集在同一直线上，形成非常窄的一束光，而不是像手电筒发出的光束那样发散的。这就是为什么激光光强很强。
