What is kuso ? It equals "恶搞" . Kuso culture means processing some serious subjects to create an entertainment culture with humor. It is similar to Mo Lei Tau (无厘头). Mo Lei Tau is a name given to a type of humor originating from Hong Kong during the 20th century. This humor includes nonsenscical parody, nonsenscical contrasts and sudden surprises in dialogues and actions. Kuso originated from the sad cries (くそ) of the leading role in a Japanese game called Death Crimson(I once played this game on Xiao Gou's PC, *_* . It' s so boring!!!). In fact, it means Shit in Japanese. Because Death Crimson is a very bad game, the introduction of such a category (Kuso) is to teach gamers how to appreciate and enjoy a game of poor quality .This philosophy soon spread to Taiwan, where people would share the games and their (often ironical) comments on BBS. Then it spread to Hong Kong , later to the mainland.
