空出来的地方是不是省略了that呢？
还是说instructing本身就是一个成分，不是动词，可以这样用？

前面句子成分全了，后面的instructing him to give the search.其实是一个状语，与a radio message构成主动关系，所以用-ing形式。应该空白处用逗号好一点，不用也可以，做伴随状语。
用分词做Message定语解释其内容！不是谓语，若是应Instructs.前加that为定语从句！
