球场为一个十八公尺乘九公尺之长方形，球场以外围绕著至少三公尺之自由区。在比赛空间内自地面以上至少七公尺高之空间没有任何障碍物。国际排联世界级及正式比赛，自由区自边线以外至少五公尺，自端线以外至八公尺，比赛空间自地面以上至少十二公尺五十公分高没有任何障碍物。
