Because of the bad weather, they postponed their original landing date of 5th and waited until June 6th when the weather turned better.
On June 6th, After Dwight Eisenhower successfully landed on Normandy, for the convenient of the follow-up troops, they built up two mid-sized artificial harbor. However,on June 19th, more than 800 warship ships ran aground or was whirled away adn a large quantity of vehicles, weapon equips was damaged or whirled away by the following up gale and storm.
