Bag design a shock for robbers

A HANDBAG designed to thwart robbers has gone on show at the China High-Tech Fair in Shenzhen.

The handbag is capable of delivering a high-voltage shock to the would-be thief while sounding an alarm at the same time.

There is a receiver installed inside the bag, a remote control for the owner, and a half-meter long safety wire to link the bag with the owner if required.

In the event of a robbery, the owner needs only to press a remote control device to set off the alarm and deliver a high-voltage electrical current strong enough to force the robber to drop the bag. When the safety wire is connected to the owner, the alarm and electric shock will also be activated if the wire is cut by a thief.
