请教关于定语从句的一道题

为什么要选when而不是what或which?谢谢！

从句中不缺宾语和主语而是缺时间状语,which在从句中只能充当主语或者宾语所以不能用,而when是关系副词正好充当从句的时间状语,相当于in which ,which代替的就是the happiest days
而定语从句中根本就没有用what的时候

他问的是DAY
what 是什么事
WHICH 后要加 day
